The legend says that the name « Six Fours » comes from the latin and means Six Homes (« feux> foyers>fours) as all along history many peoples, the Greeks,the Phoceans, the Romans and a lot of others have sought refuge and followed one another to live on this welcoming place.

The way of life in Provence is a pleasant transition from modernity- all the sea sports can be practised here and traditional productions. The olive tree grows here just as it does all along the shores of the Mediterranean, so do the vineyards that yield lovely rosés, there’s lavender too and sunflower fields.
